My brother just called all excited. "FF13 is out!" "... here? It just came out in Japan." "That's what [my nephew] said! I thought it wasn't coming out until March or April. He was on the Sony site or something...." "Wait, wait, wait. I'm online, let me look it up. Yep, on the Squenix site, it says March 9, 2010." "Damnit."
So yes, kids, don't get people's hopes up like that.
Since I have this open... a long time ago, I was a /b/tard. Yes, I know, you're all shocked. Anyway, out of boredom, I created a "profile" on anonidate when it came out to see where all the local /b/tards were located. There are far too many around me, as it turns out. Anyway, the profile has a fairly popular copypasta meme in it, altered for the lulz. I mention having a shota RealDoll, and fapping to it. Every few weeks, and mind you I made this profile a few years ago, I get a message either asking "Do you really have a shota real doll?" or "You know girls don't fap, you're a dude!" The ridiculousness never ceases to make me laugh.
Now I have to go make some more money in WoW so I can buy my mageypoo his epic flying. His DPS doesn't make me weep the way my paladin's does, so I think I'm going to work on him more than her. |

Rang in the New Year three hours later than I usually do, over here in Santa Barbara, CA at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) sugar_and_synth's home. ♥ Plus a taconaco, Ame's best friend Jennifer and her boy Trevor (loooove them) and their other friends Katy and Sean (also love them.) Much drank, much laughter, much angels with dicks. What? I don't even. Really, really good night. ♥
We missed the California countdown because we were pouring champagne (oops) so then we decided to celebrate an hour after that for the middle-of-the-ocean New Years, and then an hour after THAT for Hawaii New Years, which officially made it 2010 everywhere in the world.
2009 had some p. shitty points but I've realized that I tend to look back on things and just remember the happier aspects of them. (I've been reminded of this lately, thinking about cons and being like "oh man, that was such a good con! ..well except for.. and all of the.. okay well it was actually pretty shitty, but some of it was alright!") And to be fair, 2009 was pretty incredible a lot of the time.
I'M TRYING TO SAY SOMETHING POIGNANT but eloquence is not on my side this morning and everything is just cliche anyway so WHATEVER. The point is that I love you guys to the ends of the earth, thank you for sticking by me in 2009, and I can't wait to have crazy adventures with all of you in 2010. Here's a good year, loves. ♥♥♥

| Moving On |

I'm a bit inconsistent when it comes to New Years posts. Sometimes I do it, sometimes I don't, and a lot of the time it's to cap off a not particularly decent year, and hope for a better one the next year. I'm a big believer in hope.
I'm not going to do a big wrap-up post this year. This year has been great one, with both highlights and lowlights, and I feel genuinely pleased with the direction of my life, but I really cannot be bothered dredging up all the highlights and displaying them to everyone.
I do, however, want to put out there the directions I'm planning for my life to go this coming year.
Firstly, I came up with a New Year's resolution, a few minutes before midnight, that struck me as one that I definitely want to work on. This last year I have been feeling rather isolated, as I've been working full-time, and now moved out to the opposite side of the city, but I recognize that I haven't been putting a lot of effort into keeping up with friends either, so I intend to rectify that this year. This year, my New Year's resolution is to get back in touch with those friends I've left behind the last year or so. I plan to work hard at arranging to go out and do shit, and to take friends with me to do things with, rather than waiting for opportune moments to see others. I have a lot of really cool and brilliant friends that I've dropped out of contact with, I think now is the time to get back in touch with people.
Secondly, I plan for a new direction is to get my finances back in order. I plan on aggressively attacking my debt this year, because once I have less debt, I'll have so much more freedom in my life to do the things I want.
Thirdly, I want to keep the good times rolling with my ![[personal profile]](http://s.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png) erinkyan. I've grown so much closer to him this year, and, and I plan for this not to change. It's a good, positive thing in my life, and I plan on keeping it that way!
To anyone I may have missed with my scads of texts and messages to all my friends and family - I hope every one of you has a wonderful new year, full of whatever you need and whatever you desire. Let this year be the Year of Awesomeness!

So, my drunken thoughts. One is that this could, 100%, be an X-Files AU. Second is that I do not think Phil understands a word of what I'm saying when I try and explain "AU" to him.
